Beautiful atmosphere and great food. We came for dinner and our server Xola was very good to us. She helped us navigate vegetarian options on the menu and was very friendly and positive during our stay. I hope the boss is reading this message! Definitely recommend
Absolutely love this incredible Latin-fusion eatery! It offers a cozy, heated and spacious dining patio with a huge dietary inclusive menu! Fantastic for vegetarians and vegans and the food is so delicious! I wanted to try everything, but stuck to tacos, which were all superb, well seasoned and filled to the max. They also had interesting specials like birria ramen and a full coffee menu. Really appreciated that this place is great for pescatarians and they offered great fish and shrimp options for nearly every category! It’s also great to get right before or after hopping on the train, it’s right across the street from the station. Not to mention incredibly reasonably priced for a full meal, about $20 per person. Highly recommend stopping through in South Orange!
One of my favorite places in south orange! the food is always super flavorful and delicious. The nachos are a MUST. some of the best nachos i’ve ever had. I recommend the street corn and veggie empanadas as well. The service isn’t always the best but everyone is still very friendly and helpful.
Yummy empanadas! Got the empanada sampler and tried the beef empanada, chicken and potato empanada, guava and cheese empanada, and domino empanada. Faves were the beef empanada and chicken and potato empanadas so flavorful!
I've been here a few times and am honestly disappointed in the food/pricing.
All the staff who've assisted me have been friendly, atmosphere is fun and festive, and they have a lot of items on their menu. Unfortunately I haven't been impressed by the food. The last time I ordered Ropa Vieja the majority of the meat was just chunks of fat, and the rice was obviously old. This order was a beef empanada and maduros and the price was $12+! The empanada was So Small, and the way they cut the plantains is so rushed that they are chunks that don't get cooked throughout and they all had some gelatinous/slimy centers. Its way too pricey for what you receive in terms of quality and amount.
This review is a combo of my various trips here. Very hit or miss and inconsistent with both food, drinks and service. This last visits I had there were not good. For breakfast I got a corn arepa and a Cuban cordito. I got home to realize they just gave me a regular plain coffee with absolutely nothing in it not even sugar or milk so that was disappointing. The arepa was ok but I've had better from here my other visits. My last visit here I decided to try the wings ans a passionfruit Agua Fresca. This had to be the worst wings I ever had. I literally could not eat them I took two bites and threw the entire thing away. The wings were big with feathers still in them then instead of cooking then in My sauce of choice they just fried the wings then gave me a pan full of sauce with the normal fried wings thrown on top . The passion fruit drink tasted very weird like it was sitting in the fridge without a lid. If it wasn't for the good visits I had prior where I got a shrimp empanada that was good and a prior time where my corn arepa was good I prob would have rated this place a 1.
Tropical habanero wings are delicious! My cousin had chipotle pineapple wings , they were good until she found a hair in them. They kindly took it off the bill and apologized. They ran out of ranch so we went across the street to the diner to purchase some small containers to go. Fries were good and Churro dessert was good also , a scoop of ice cream would have taken it up the next level. The beef empanada was delicious with a flaky crust .
Miti Miti is a good Latin American restaurant located in South Orange. They offer a myriad of Latin American dishes with a focus on Mexican cuisine
